Community Guidelines
Last Updated: May 23, 2026 · Version 1.0
The Legacy Index is built for family. That means it holds some of the most personal, meaningful, and sometimes tender content imaginable. These guidelines exist not to restrict you — but to protect the trust that makes The Legacy Index worth using.
`$The Legacy Index holds family stories. Treat them the way you'd want yours treated.`
Respect Family Privacy
Family content shared on The Legacy Index is private by default. Just because content is shared within your family network doesn't mean it's yours to share outside of it.
Do not screenshot, download, or re-share family members' personal content without their knowledge or consent. Photos of children, memorial content, personal letters, and legacy messages deserve particular care.
Respect the visibility settings others have set for their content. If someone has kept something private, honor that choice.
Upload Responsibly
Only upload content that you have the right to share. This includes photos, videos, documents, and recordings involving other people — particularly minors, deceased relatives, or sensitive family situations.
If you're uploading content that includes other family members, consider whether they would be comfortable with it being preserved and shared in this way. Consent matters, even within families.
Do not upload illegal content, explicit material, or anything designed to harm, embarrass, or expose another person.
Communicate with Kindness
Families are complicated. Histories are complicated. The Legacy Index is a space where generations come together, which means people with different values, memories, and perspectives will sometimes share the same spaces.
Treat other family members — even those you may be estranged from or have complicated relationships with — with basic human dignity.
Harassment, threats, intimidation, or targeted hostility are never acceptable on The Legacy Index.
Honor Sensitive Memories
The Legacy Index often holds deeply emotional content: memorials for loved ones who have passed, legacy messages from parents to children, photos from harder chapters of life.
Treat sensitive content with the weight it deserves. Do not mock, misrepresent, or distort memories belonging to others. Do not interfere with memorial content or legacy spaces that belong to other family members.
If you come across content that feels wrong or out of place, use the report function rather than engaging directly.
Respect Family Boundaries
Family networks on The Legacy Index are formed by invitation and consent. Do not attempt to access family networks or content spaces you have not been invited to.
Families sometimes include members with legal restrictions — such as custody arrangements or restraining orders. The Legacy Index is not designed to circumvent legal or personal boundaries. If you are using the platform in a way that violates someone's legal protections, your account may be suspended.
Disagree with a family member? Please handle it offline. The Legacy Index is for preserving legacy, not for resolving family disputes.
Protect Children
The Legacy Index takes the safety of minors exceptionally seriously. Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers children is strictly prohibited and will be reported to appropriate authorities.
Parents and guardians are responsible for managing how their children appear in family content. Use the privacy settings to control who can see photos and information involving minors.
Build Something Lasting
Every story you preserve, every photo you upload, every message you write — it's a gift to the people who come after you. Use that context to guide how you show up on this platform.
The Legacy Index is designed to last across generations. The content you add today may be something a grandchild discovers decades from now. Build something worthy of that moment.
"Your memories remain yours. The legacy you build here belongs to your family — forever."
Reporting Concerns
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it. You can use the report function within the platform, or contact us directly at support@timebridge.com. We review all reports and take action where appropriate.
